About Rotating Louvers
- The perfect product for where you need privacy, wind guard, and light control flexibility. Around hot tubs, around your barbecue, or anywhere part-time privacy or wind shielding is desired.
- Rotating DIY Louvers use wood louvers.
- Model number indicates height of opening required. eg. RL24 means 24" tall opening.
- Designed for 1x4 Dimensional Lumber (maximum).
- Can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
- Width or height are determined by lengths of 1x4 Slats. Custom cut and fit 1x4s to your needs.
- Appliance Grade Powder Painted Steel parts.
- Kit comes Preassembled, ready to mount and add the 1x4 Slats. Hardware to mount 1x4 slats included. Hardware to mount main brackets not included since mounting surfaces can differ and require different hardware types.
- Smooth rotating and squeak-free system utilizes Self-Lubricating washers for quiet operation.
- Optional Lock Kit, allows horizontal, inward close, and outward close lock positions.
- Infinite rotational positions available.
- Plumb and square cornered opening is required for smooth rotating operation.
- Center brackets vertically or horizontally in opening when mounting.
- Measure and cut 1x4s to required length after you have mounted the two side bracket assemblies. Do not assume and do not guess. Measure and make certain the first time and test fit one piece 1x4 in top, middle, and bottom louver locations before cutting all 1x4 pieces.
- 1x4 wood can warp as it dries. We recommend sealing or painting the 1x4 slats before mounting as louvers.
- You may easily replace the 1x4 slats in the future if the need arises.
