6x6 Pressure Treated Lumber ( 5.5" x 5.5" per specifications) can vary in size, greatly. Our 6x6 brackets are designed to accept up to 5-9/16" x 5-9/16" sized lumber. If the lumber is larger than 5-9/16" x 5-9/16", use a power planar to reduce size to 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" at the lumber ends.
