  • This is a novel bracket designed to connect two roof deck support cross tie beams to the main octagon rafters.
  • DIY-Smart design provides precise angles alignment and, in addition, provides a pencil mark viewing widow for precise locating of this bracket.
  • The Octagon Cross Tie Bracket is designed to attach to the bottom and side surfaces of the main octagon rafters and provide two cross tie receiver U-channels at precise angles.
  • These brackets simplify addition of the cross tie beams at perfect angles to form decorative deck support structures in a perfect octagon shape.
  • The cross tie bracket attaches to the rafter’s and cross tie beam’s bottom and side surfaces using eight (8) 1/4″ x 1-1/4″ lag screws.
  • The high strength design of this bracket holds the cross tie support beams securely.
  • The Octagon Cross Tie Bracket’s arms have upward facing open U-channels to easily receive 2×6 or 2×8 cross tie beams. Each cross tie beam is secured to the U-channel with two (2) 1/4″ x 1-1/4″ lag screws.
  • Don’t forget that you will have to drive 10D X 3″ nails at an angle to secure the top of the cross tie beams to the rafter. These 10D nails are not included.

The Octagon Spider Bracket is designed to resist compressive loads at the peak of the octagon roof. The high strength design of this bracket resists compressive loads applied by each rafter and permanently supports all 8 rafters.

The Octagon Spider Brackets arms have upward facing open U-channels to easily receive 2×6 or 2×8 rafters. Each rafter is secured to the U-channel with five (5) 1/4″ x 1-1/4″ lag screws.
