DIY Heavy Duty Iron Hexagon Spider Bracket
Introducing our DIY Heavy Duty Iron Hexagon Spider Bracket – the perfect addition to your hexagon gazebo project. Crafted from high-quality iron, this bracket boasts durability and strength, easily supporting heavy snowloads.
Its unique hexagon design adds a stylish touch to your roof structure, giving you the freedom to unleash your creativity. Made with a double layered 1/8″ thick welded steel structure and coated with black powder paint, our DIY Heavy Duty Iron Hexagon Spider Bracket provides superior rust resistance and long-lasting performance.
This bracket is employed to build full hexagon shaped gazebos like our 4×4 Hexagon Gazebo and 6×6 Hexagon Gazebos. A few customers have also employed this bracket to create hexagon roofs on top of waterwells.
This versatile bracket allows you to build hexagon roofs ranging from 8 to 24 feet wide, thanks to its innovative 6-way joint design. For added resilience, simply pair this bracket with cross tie brackets and cross tie beams, and experience a sturdy roof structure that can withstand snow loads of up to 165 lbs./sq. ft. This permanent structure is suitable for any geographic location, giving you peace of mind no matter where you are.
To complete your project, this DIY Heavy Duty Iron Hexagon Spider Bracket comes with the necessary materials, including thirty 1/4″ x 1-1/2″ Lag Screws.
Please note that the roof rafters’ pitch angle is fixed at 20-degrees, resulting in a 4-12 roof pitch. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend using kiln-dried lumber (pine, cedar, redwood, etc.) for the roof rafters and cross tie beams. The size of the roof rafters can be 2×6 or 2×8.
The cross-tie support beams should be placed every 24 inches between adjacent rafters to provide additional support for the roof deck plywood/OSB boards.
