Designed with DIYers in mind. Eliminates bird’s mouth cutting requirements. Smart Design receives rafters easily and holds the rafter weight safely and frees your hands to drive required lag screws.
Do you have a raftered structure with the rafters toe nailed to the wall tops only? Add this bracket at each rafter and wall top joint to restrengthen your roof structure.

This bracket helps to restrengthen and repair sagging roof structures. Jack up roof ridge to level and add these on wall tops to secure rafters and stop them from sliding. Also use our PH-RRT or PO-RRT Ridge Rafter Tie Brackets.

Durability

Super strong and durable construction for long lifetime and high wind resistance beyond 100 mph.  Designed to sit on top of walls of sheds, garages, rectangle pavilions, lean-to, or hexagon/ octagon corner posts and secure one 2×6 or 2×8 rafter to the wall top and post top.

Physical Details

Four 5/16” holes provided for securing bracket to the rafter.
Two slots provided for securing this bracket to the post top.
1/8” high strength steel construction.
Black powder painted for corrosion resistance.
Can be spray painted over, using exterior grade paints.
Includes six (6) 1/4″ x 1-1/2″ Lag Screws to secure to wall top/header and the rafter.

This bracket is commonly employed for hexagon gazebos, octagon gazebos, linear octagon pavilions, 4-12 pitched rectangle pavilions, 5-12 pitched rectangle pavilions and all other structures that require rafters to sit on top of walls or posts.
