This is a 45-3/8″ Tall DIY Louvers which use 1×6 slats up to 60″ (5 ft.) PT Lumber and 96″ (8 ft.) KD Lumber and plastic lumber. We recommend cedar, black locust, Iroko, teak, Ipe wood slats and high density plastic lumber for highend and long life. Ideal for beachside and coastal application where salt spray damages all wood. Super-easy DIY design makes it easy for anyone to install in less than 1 hour. Infinitely variable louver slat lengths up to 60 inches if using pressure treated lumber. Infinitely variable louver slat lengths up to 84 inches permitted if using kiln dried lumber. Note: This is a DIY kit. Louver Slats are not included. You acquire them locally. Horizontal and Vertical Slat Orientations Capable. Accepts 1×6 size dimensional lumber members. Fits within a 46″ or larger opening. If opening is larger than 46″ add filler 1×4 or 1×6 wood strips on top and bottom to create a nice framed appearance.
